Gifts en route & a giveaway! & book events this week!

Dear friends,

You are the best, best, best. So this is a quick note to let you know that later this week, I will be mailing the bookplates to those of you who requested them. Super excited to do that, and for your ongoing enthusiasm and for your Amazon reviews!! They’re growing! They’re growing! Power to the small presses, baby. You’re all making this more fun and less anxious. It’s hard to express how much that means. And if you have written a review or want to, then I’d like to enter you in a drawing for a free signed copy of The Part That Burns, if you want one. Just let me know by way of reply to this email and I’ll draw a name in about a week. Note that you do not need to send me the review. Your review is up to you! I’m just grateful for your support.

Also, I’ve got some fun, free, virtual book events coming up in the next several days, in case you’re free and want to drop in for some literary shenanigans.

  1. Wednesday, February 23, 6 PM Central, Reading from The Part That Burns at the Sundress Academy for the Arts Reading Series

  2. Thursday, February 24, 5 PM Central, Virtual Craft Chat on the Art of Memoir with The Writer’s Center hosted by Amy Freeman

  3. Thursday, February 25, 7:30 PM Central, Reading With Anthology Co-Authors of Ms. Aligned 3: Women Writing About Men at Redwood Country Library

  4. Saturday, February 27, 4 PM Central, Reading from The Part That Burns at the Lit Balm Reading Series

As mentioned, these events are all virtual and free, so can come as you are at the last minute. And if you cannot make it, don’t worry—a few of my absolute favorite events are coming up next month, when I’ll be participating in Lilly Dancyger’s Memoir Monday Series, plus Michele Filgate’s Red Ink Panel (with Jo Ann Beard, no less!), plus Magers & Quinn with the fabulous Lilly Dancyger and Gina Frangello (scroll down to find the event), and Literati Books with the wonderful Jen Pastiloff (and that’s not all).

Hope to see you at some of these, and, meanwhile, hang in there. Spring is coming. It really is.

With love,

Jeannine
